Hello everyone

I have a major problem that I need help to sort.

Does anyone have room to take any more piggies? I seriously need to downsize the herd as I cannot cope with 8 piggies anymore. My mental health has deteriorated to the point where I can barely maintain my job and house. I cannot sleep and I am really struggling. This last outbreak of ringworm has almost done me in because I do not want it spreading to others and it keeps coming back. It sounds silly but I'm having nightmares about this...

I am reluctant to take the piggies to a rescue as I know they are struggling. I am feeling guilty and sick for even asking as I feel I am letting my herd down.

I will transport the piggies and I am asking on the forum because I want them to go to a very good home, the likes of which people on here do provide.

I am sorry about this...

I think a rescue would be a good idea, I'm very sorry to hear that

So sorry this ringworm business has hit you so hard, can you upload pigtures with piggy names and ages and gender and who might make a good pair together? How many do you want to keep, and who do you want to rehome? Have you considered fostering them with someone until you get things back on track? Sending hugs and wheeks anyway, so sorry everything is causing you so much stress- mental health and ringworm are both to get on top of x

So sorry you are feeling poorly. Ringworm sounds awful, especially if it keeps coming back. I can imagine how it can get you down. Hope you can find homes for some of your piggies, I’m only allowed two, so sorry I can’t help you there, good luck and wishing you a speedy recovery x

So sorry you are struggling. When you are poorly with mental health issues nothing feeling like you will get back up the slippery slope but you will. You have admitted you are having difficulty coping and that is the first and very hard step. Well done for reaching out for help. South Wales is too far for me and 5 piggies are enough for me to deal with both time wise and financially. I'm sure somebody on here will be able to help you. Big hugs :hug::hug:

So sorry I can't help, I'm sure someone will be able to help you somewhere, even if it is a rescue. Things will get back on track, just try to keep your chin up. You're helping yourself by accepting help. Lots of hugs

I'm sorry you are struggling.i have been in a similar situation,i rang social services ,they arranged for some one to clean my 30 !piggies cages out.when my mental health improved i did surrender my guinea pigs to a rescue,I'm now well ,my piggies have been the reason to get out of bed.try not to make big decisions when you are unwell.glynneath rescue is a very respectable rescue:)
