help needed with cage enlargement please

I have 2 piggies who spent last winter in a cage in my daughters bedroom and were very happy, they have been out all summer in a huge cage, I am really worried that they are going to go stir crazy when I bring them bk into the cage, money is very tight at the moment and I wondered if any of you lovely people could give me some cheap ideas of how to extend the cage, we have a cat so it need to be quite secure ty mary
ps another cage would be ideal so I could jpin them in some way but I just cant afford another

did they have a run outside If so could you not clean this and add it to your cage or buy a new enclosed run to put next to the cage.

What sort of Budget do you have for improvements? if you have pics or the rough size of your current cage it may help with ideas or recomendations. It may be possible to buy a cheap second hand cage, or maybe a second hand dog crate as they come up larger than guinea pig cages typically.

You could move their outdoor cage inside. This way you won't have to spend any money.
