Anyone in Suffolk area able to help me?

I have a guinea pig I need to surrender he has a burst abscesses and I’m trying everything in my power to keep it clean but he needs vet treatment I just can’t afford.
Anyone able to help me save him?
He’s so loving
 
I am very sorry to hear this 😞 Have you family or friends you could borrow the money from or would your vet consider you setting up a payment plan? It seems such a shame to give him up as it sounds like you love him very much.

Failing this, have you reached out to local rescues who may be able to help? It’s so difficult with times being hard x

Are you able to get financial help from the PDSA? I’m not sure if their criteria but it might be worth looking into
 
I’m so sorry you are in this position. Sending you hugs and healing vibes to your piggy. Vet fees have led me to the decision not to have any more piggies.

How old is he? Is he eating ok? Whereabouts is the abscess?

It might not be as expensive as you think. He may just need some antibiotics and pain medication. You can then flush it three times a day with saline. You need to keep it open as long as you can so it can continue to drain and be flushed. Of you gently squeeze it does anything come out?

Speak to the vets and see if they can do a re-payment plan. Good luck. ❤️

I’ve tried every rescue centre in Suffolk , it’s £300 because the cyst is still inside. I just can’t afford that . I'm already borrowing money of people

It’s on his back, his 3 years old , I have been cleaning but cyst is still inside . Vets won’t consider re payment with a guinea pig

I have two boys . One needs vet treatment both friendly and loving . I’m 40 mins from there
