Hi, my male piggy has a permanent wet bottom that is getting very smelly very quickly - I have had to bath him more as it is staining his fur. He does have a long coat and I have trimmed this. Its been about 2 weeks and apart from the wet fur round his back end, he had seemed himself but he now seems a bit quiet. Do you think this could be a urine infection - advice please x

Hi there. I would get him checked by the vet in case it is a urine infection. If he's older it could also be a sign that he's a bit arthritic or in pain so moving around less and getting wet. Either way I would say after this amount of time whatever it is would benefit from him seeing a vet. Hope this helps.

I was thinking I need to get him checked out - he is only young, not a year yet. Thanks for the advice.

Any squeaking when weeing? Hunching?

No not noticed anything. He is a dirty boy and just sits on poo alot in corner but his friend has long hair to and is never wet.

worth checking out, keep his bum fur really really short. Pitch our first piggy was always wet and we had to keep her trimmed. Fingers crossed it is nothing
