I did a stupid thing, I had 2 piggies which were happy together, but I tried bonding my new piggie charlie, and they was all fine for a few days, even cuddled up together.
But last week something happened, I was out at the time so can only tell you what my mum said. She said she saw charlie with a willow stick in his mouth and then heard a some noise coming from the piggies cage and then logan making a wheeking noise.
So I dont know if it was a fight or charlie caught logan on accident with the stick.
Anyway over the last week, logan's eye was looking ok but now its alot worst, so I took him to the vets today. And she said she thinks the eye has burst and maybe have to be taken out and has given me bayril to give him and wants to see him on friday.
And she said to separate him from chip, did separate charlie after it happened, but chip and logan are good together, so do I really need to separate them too?
So worried I dont know what to do, and I feel its all my fault.
So if you can help, please do.

Oh poor little mite :( Trio's are not always going to work, boars live well in pairs. What an unfortunate thing to happen - will you end up with three separate boars now ? Only thing you could really consider for long term is to neuter them and get them a wifey each or boar date at a rescue maybe - depends on your views and how many piggies you have space for.
Hope someone will advise you better than I can and maybe you could rebond Logan with Chip, why does he have to be separated from his mate ? I think piggies 'heal' quicker having their mate around. When one of my boys was poorly, his brother knew there was something wrong and never left his side, came to the vets with him etc. After Harley's bladder surgery, they were chasing each other around as usual and squabbling over hideys the next day :...
Healing vibes for the little guy x>> and really sorry this has happened to him :(

If they get really on, I would not separate, but you will need to keep their cage REALLY clean, preferably without any hay and stuff lying around the floor etc. that can get into your boy's eye and cause an infection. Use vetbed or fleece for the sleeping corners and spot clean as often as possible and change very often. Please be aware that Logan will be pretty blind on one side and may spook as he is not used to it.

Generally, even if he loses his eye, this is not the end of the world. Once he has got used to it, he will be able to live a perfectly normal and happy life and you won't know from his behaviour.

Please try to find a suitable friend for Charlie by boar dating (letting him choose his own friend) at a rescue that allows to bring your piggy. If you tell us your area, we may be able to give recommendations. Unfortunately, trying to introduce a third party to a stable pair is more often a recipe for disaster than not.
