help please, poor baby

I was feeding my guinea pig (sky) a treat and her half of her tooth fell out it looks like its her bottom one split into but shes bleeding abit, will she be ok is there anything i can give her to stop the bleeding or take the pain away. Dont understand how it happened it was a proper guinea pig treat :(

take her to the vet... she will more then likely need it removing...
teethy problems are very painful... thin about how bad tooth ache is for us...!
dont feel bad about it... it was nothing you did wrong...

Aww poor baby, does she seem like shes in any pain? maybe she had a dodgy tooth already - you just dont know. But id take away any hard food and just keep hay in until you can get her to the vet on monday for a check.

Hope shes okay and not in any pain xx
 
sorry think i read that wrong...
split down the middle or split half way up the tooth...?

:( i hate seeing them in pain :( obviously with it been sunday i cant take her to the vets now so i will see how she is tomorrow, how will i know if she needs to get it removed?

if it is snapped half way down the tooth rather than down the middle... (sorry i may have over reacted...though you ment it had snapped down the middle like it had split... lol.. its been a long day... i think i miss read your post)
i would probably pop her to the vets tomorow...
please keep a very close eye on her eating... as if her tooth is painful she wont want to eat as much... soften her pellets if you can buy putting water on them and leaving them to sit for about 15 mins then drain the water off...
if she decides she is not going to eat the you will have to syringe feed her untill you can get her to the vets...

I have a dog and sometimes shes ill and cant eat hard food so i am fine softening her food, shes alot more quiet and acting strange she wont drink because she has to use her tooth to suck the bottle so i will put a bowl of water for her. her tooth as like spit from the bottom all the way up to just before the gum

oh dear... definatly a vet check in need...
good that you have experience in doing the foodies... one less thing for you to worrie about tonight....
water bowl is a good idea... also maybe put some cucumber in there aswell... becuase thats soft and has a high water content...

I could be wrong, but I'm sure I was once told Guinea Pig's don't have nerve endings in their teeth, the front ones at least. So it wouldn't be in any pain.
 
Hi yes their toofies do grow back .............it's just that in the meantime if they're having problems you need to shred or grate their food, soften up some of their pellets too...... :)
