have just noticed on my friends guinea pig he is very uncomfy to be stroked, and has what looks like dandruff on his fur....what is this, am trying to get throught to the vets but they are busy on phone at the mo....help please?
 
poss mites .does the dandruff walk if you look very very close?if so this is walking dandruff diff form of mites than your normal hay mites this can make them very uncomfey and they can bite you both the guinea and mites can x
 
Thanks guys, have had a good look, no open sores, no red skin or scabs, the dandruff is not moving, looked under magnifier- just looks like white flakes.
have to wait till morning for vets, my friend will take him then. x
