Try chopping up little bits of fresh veg for him to see if he will eat if you try to pop them in his mouth. He sounds very poorly, I am sorry :( Is his head ok or has he got any head tilt, where it looks like his head is listing to one side at all?

Yea the paste is to help with it - Fibreplex 1ml 3 times a day

Harry has come out and had a drink etc... He seems much better already! It's just dylan now.. fingers crossed:{

Fibreplex is perfect so that's good. A lot of vets don't realise the importance of probiotics so I'm glad yours did :) I'm glad Harry seems better. Fingers crossed that Dylan picks up soon too. If he isn't eating at all it's advised to syringe feed about 20-30mls of mushed pellets every 3-4 hours or so. 120ml in 24 hours. Keep an eye on his output too as you don't want his guts to stop moving.

Fingers crossed he pulls through!

just wondering if anyone has sprayed fly spray while you were not there ,or put a fly paper up or moth balls.

I was just wondering about the wood shavings bedding as someone else was on here recently about piggies being poisoned by a contaminated bag of wood shavings, of course I can't for the life of me remember where I saw it mallethead, but it was on this forum!

Was it some that someone bought from VetUK? I think I read that recently too, although not sure what brand it was. Sure it was woodshavings tho. I do hope you're piggies pull through x

MandFPiggies... Yea that was about VET UK... I've looked into their bedding and it's fine... They've had the same bedding since I had them (brand not actual bedding)

We don't have fly spray or tape etc here... Don't really get many in the house...

Just syringe fed Dylan... He's loving it bless him... Seems exhausted now though... he's having a snooze... Never seen a guinea pig sleep because they normally only power nap but he seems brighter in his eyes so hopefully he'll be ok xx

I'm so glad they are both improving, even if it's only slightly. Me and the girls send healing wheeeeeks and piggie kisses x>> x>> x>>. Have you read up on syringe feeding? You want to be getting 120mls into one pig, I know it sounds a lot, but it is what it takes to keep everything moving, really brings it home to you just what little eating machines they are! ;) If you have any problems, just ask there are some great people on here, there is even a register of folk who can give hands on help if you need it. The list was set up to run along side the piggy bank. Furryfriends is the gal to ask, but you may not be able to pm yet, if so let me know.
