So my Guinea Pig was ill so we took her to the vets on Tuesday and we have to syringe feed her recovery paste, and we were told she isn’t going to make it far. We’ve been weighing her everyday and yesterday she was 870g and today she is 855g (she is a 2 year old female Dalmatian Guinea Pig) and today I put her in her cage after feeding her and she fell off the 5 inch probably (I don’t know) and now she keeps falling on her leg please help somebody!

I have never heard of this before. Did you tell the vet about it. I know there was another thread about a piggie being wobbly on his back legs. Maybe try to check that out. Just breathe and make sure she is comfortable and you give her lots of love. Just try to be very gentle.

No the vets not in today sadly but she isn’t eating anything and she’s losing feel in her leg I think. I’m sat with her now and some carrot and veggies but she just keeps going to sleep and falling over!

OK go to an emergency vet right now. Sometimes this happens before their time and any help is the best help right now. Just find any vet that will take her and see what they say. I really hope she feels better:hug:This has never happened to me personally but there have been a few cases on the forum. This kind of sounds like them so I would definitely take her to any vet today. She just needs help from somebody. Since she isn’t eating on her own syringe feeding is super important. Sending healing vibes!

I agree. No one but a vet would be able to help, so please take her as an emergency. Where do you live? We may be able to suggest a vet nearby

True I live in the US and I swear half the people on here bombarded me with different vets to help me out.

Yes, GuineaLynx's vet locator is a wonderful resource that surely saved many piggy lives. So is the vet locator in this forum for the UK.

Please ring a local vet clinic asap; one that is prepared to see a guinea pig. It is likely she has broken her leg or is too weak to stand. Until then, keep her as calm and comfortable as you can. Keep her warm, but not hot.
We have got recommended vets locator on the top bar. In an emergency, you can google for local vet services.
Here is a link to recommended vets in some countries. Guinea Lynx :: GL's Vet List

Yes but make sure there are no hideouts she could go in where you would not be able to get her out. You would probably wind up destroying the hideout and scaring the piggies more than she would be if she didn’t have it as a hiding spot.
