Help...sooo Tempted

Lol, my 'kidding myself phase' lasted precisely 30 minutes. As I was driving back to the shop, I was saying to myself ' well if it's closed, I wasn't meant to get them'. I arrived with 4 minutes to spare. lol

:lol!::lol!::lol!::lol!::lol!:And I bet you did over the speed limit to get there with 4 mins to spare too :woot:

That's how I found Velvet and Betsy. Once the OH had agreed to gps again. I went to P@H the next day saw them fell instantly in love especially after a cuddle. Went home, thought about it and went back for them an hour later! I knew I could give them a lovely home so they just had to come home with me! What I didn't reckon on was Velvets little secret .... She already had 3 on board! So that is how I ended up with 5!

These are definitely boars, so fortunately I won't have that surprise lol

Aww. They're gorgeous. See, I was meant to take Mango and Mojito and you were meant to have these 2 boys.:love:

Well I'm pretty convinced that Bobby and Bailey are closer to 6 than 6 months lol. Having spent more time with them, their back ends seem quite bony. They're coming round really well, and I've been grooming them every day and they sit fine, but not in a frightened way, Bobby even ate a bit of parsley out of my hand when he was on my lap. I hope it's age and not that they're skinny. They both weigh between 1020g and 1080g, but a fair bit of that will be hair. They don't eat nearly as much as the terrible trio, but then they don't run around as much either. I'll keep my eye on their weight though, as I have been a wee bit concerned about their appetites.

We're they sold to you as 6 months old? Wonder what their back story is... Hope the little guys are doing well :)

Could they just be thin? As we sometimes get piggies coming in the centre that haven't had a good diet. And the difference in them in a few weeks is incredible. Once they get good food, veg and hay

I'm pretty sure they're a lot older than 6 months. My other three are 6 and 7 months, and they seem like youngsters. B&B are much slower and quieter, and physically much longer, heavier and more 'developed'. I'm not bothered if they are older (I thought they were when I saw them, and was really surprised when the girl said they were only 6 months) I'm kind of joking about them being 6. Here's a few pics, see what you think.

Aww they are gorgeous. They're definitely not 6 months you can tell by the nails. I would say probably about 2/3 years.

How are the boys settling in?
They're doing really well thanks @Janice C . They came out when I put their veggies out this morning, and they've been quite settled when I've had to handle them for grooming. I can't wait to get them into a bigger cage, and start some floor time (although the hovering afterwards will be a lot more with all that hair. lol. They're so much easier to catch than the wee lads as well, so I'm getting the best of both worlds - the wee ones zooming and popcorning, and these two up for their cuddles!

Mangos nails are really thick and some of them twist round And he's 4 years old. Mojito has smaller nails so I'm beginning to wonder if he's younger but we were told they were the same age.

So glad that it’s going well for you and that they’ve obviously settles well in their new home. Obviously accepted you as their new slave already!
I know the older ones that I rescued are enjoying their change from just being in a cage all the time to toddling around with plenty of room plus having others through the C& C that they can nose up to!
Yours are two gorgeous looking boys!

Thanks! Looking forward to that bit.

He's maybe just kept up with his manicures better. lol I think curly nails can be a bit genetic too though can't they?
