:no::no:My guineapig has a bald patch that's spreading and it has red blotches in. It's on her back and she lives outside. Plus some skin is 'scraping' off. Do you know if it spreads onto other guinea pigs? We're seeing the vets tomorrow but is there anything we could do until then?

It sounds like it could be fungal in which case yes it can also spread to others so I would take them all to the vets so they can be treated as a preventative. It could also be mange mites or a combination of the two. Please could you update your location on your profile as it helps us to tailor our advice. If you are in the UK it has been very humid this week which means fungal can thrive.

We're are in Essex, England. Do you have any ideas to South it, we've given it a bath? Thank you for your information

A bath is not going to treat fungal unfortunately. You most definitely need a vets visit with prescribed medications to treat this asap. Please be aware that if it is a fungal like ringworm this can also be spread to humans. You need to ensure you are taking extreme measures to prevent spread of any infection

Does anyone know how to calm down the itching or aching or whatever it is until we go to the vets tomorrow?:hmm:
