took my 2 year old boar to vets two weeks ago diagnosed with URI. Weeks worth on antibiotics he seemed over it. Given clean bill of health by the vets. Just gone to check on him and he is very wet around his mouth and chin/ neck. Smells of vinegar. What could it be, any ideas. Obviously back to vets tomorrow.

Please have him see asap as an emergency. it is either a blockage somewhere in the digestive system (from the mouth to the anus), a trapped tongue so your piggy cannot swallow or a fungal infection in his mouth.

He can just have messed himself up when drinking, but that does not explain the smell. ;)

Is it just wet? Or is there a colour to it? I know drool can be due to a teeth problem. If it's greenish it could be a sign of pneumonia or it could just be the URI isn't 100% gone. I agree with seeing a vet. Hope he gets better soon. Xthough like @Wiebke said it could just be a bit of mess from drinking.

It is yellowish and a bit darker near his mouth. It smells awful. It's definitily not mess from water. I wondered if it was the URI returned as his eyes look a bit crusty and his nose. I will get him to a vet.
