Understanding Prey Animal Instincts, Guinea Pig Whispering And Cuddling Tips

The above link will hopefully provide you with some helpful tips. You do need to be aware though that guinea pigs aren’t naturally cuddly. Their instincts are be wary, and they may never come round to being comfortable with being picked up etc.
I have had my boys for over a year and one of them still won’t let me touch him, he won’t take food from me, I can’t pick him up etc. It is just his instincts and I have had to accept that he just doesn’t like it and is much more nervous than the other one.

Both mine will let me pet them they will come up to me sometime but i just feel like I need to spend even more time than i already do but they are just so scared

If they are coming up to you and let you touch them, then it sounds like you are doing well. It’s their nature to be anxious, so spending more time with them may not change that.
