Hey all, I am going to be going to choose a pig to try and bond with McMac. This is the plan I have but I am not sure if it is the right way to do things, never done a bonding before mallethead

I have set up a little 2x2 C&C that will be next to McMacs cage and I will be getting rid of McMacs hay loft until I am happy they like eachother (don't want him jumping into the next cage from the ramp)
I am going to leave the new pig in his cage for a bit, so he gets used to all the noises and smells.

Then after like a day of chilling out I put them together in a neutral territory to meet each other face to face. If the weather is nice I will put them in the garden, since then there is grass to keep them distracted and stuff.

When I know they are happy I will give the cage a whole clean out, I have bought a brand new fleece to use and I have a scented disinfectant to use on the correx and grids and I will put them together.

Sound like a plan?

Sounds like a plan

Where's the piggy coming from ? I'm so glad you've found him a friend !

JayceeStar. She works at a Pennywell Farm and said they had some baby boars in need of a home :) Hoping to get him tomorrow I think as boyfriend can drive me there

Awww ! Thats awesome, My mum and Oh are still pretty against finding my piggy a pal !

Another good place for bonding though is a bath tub if it's too wet to go outside, and if it's with a baby it should be pretty simple anyways, i'm sure McMac will be a great daddy/uncle !

Yeah the bath tub is good. And I think/hope he will be ok. I mean when I got Momo I literally just plonked them both in the same cage and that was it. They were both babies at the time though lol
