How long should a guinea pigs nails be? Never trimmed before and they are getting pretty long

How old are the piggies?
Little and often is a good rule of thumb.
Once they get 0.3 cm or over the nail I'd say.

The pigs are roughly 5-6 months but there back nails seem for too long. I get cuts all over my arms during lap time

Sounds like they need a trim then.
When they start to curl as well is when they need cutting.
