We currently have our two piggies in a c and c cage. We had been using a stretchy tunnel for a ramp but the bits of poo gets stuck in the grooves so I was wondering what you all use for a ramp. Obviously it needs to be easy to clean. Advice please. Thanks

I need to make a ramp. I was going to use wood and glue nylon rope to make treads, but, it will also need to be fairly wide and have sides to prevent falls. Not sure yet, still in design stage. I would suppose, plastic would be the best to clean, wide drain pipe, and gluing nylon rope inside, in a spiral, ok as long as it is only a short length and wide enough to get your arm down it! Or use fleece for tread.

welcome to the forum @cally73 .

There are lots of different ideas and solutions to this query and I highly recommend that you have a look at this thread ...

My 2nd storey is 1/2 height and I use folded C&C grids to make the ladders. I have some ramp tunnels made by c and e cosies.

I've currently used a ramp that came with a ferplast double tier cage and put a ramp tunnel on it (also from c and e cosies and the same colour as above but others make them and in different colours!)

I made a ramp out of correx then attached some sticky back felt. Cheapest method

You can use 2 layers of 2mm or 2 layers of 4 mm correx. Stick small bits of correx as a ladder, then use some velcro to stick some fleece to it.

Photos not mine.

On these photos they've bent grids under the ramp for extra support.

Alternatively you can buy a cat scratching ramp, drill two holes at the top of the MDF, then attach it to the upper level of grids with cable ties. That is probably the easiest. But if you want to make it yourself then other ways would be better.

I use a homemade wood ramp and I glued carpet on it and I haven't had a problem with pees so far they pee else ware. You get hay that gets stuck on it but I sweep most off and the stuff that gets stuck I don't care it is just hay. Poops are easy to sweep off too but doesn't happen much. If you have the supplies this ramp is free to make and easy too.

Can you post a pic with the full front view? I like it and it seems it would be easier to add a cover.
