I have a C and C cage but I use cat scratching board's. I put an extra hole in it and tie grip it, could you do that to the bar's so they go up and turn to get on the second level?
The 2nd level is quite easy, get a piece of wood (or thick plastic) that will fit the inner width dimensions of the cage, the length is up to you, I made mine so it overlapped the ledge in the cage so my guineas just jumped from the ledge to the new level. (they can jump at least 10 inches as i discovered when the ramp fell off so not a problem!)
Then all you need is 2/3 long narrow pieces of wood that just slide between the bars, front to back and the new level just rests on top.
You will need fleece and newspaper/towels on top of the wood but it works well, first time I saw my guineas lying flat out was on the 2nd level
