Help With Youtube Channel

Hi, I was just after some advice from anyone with a YouTube channel. I have recently created my own and was wondering how you go about promoting it? I don't want to spam people's walls or anything like that, but unless the odd person searches something and your video comes up on the search how to do get people aware of your channel in the first place? Thanks in advance! :p
 
Maybe change your name on the forum to the name of your you tube channel?
Go on other forums and spread the word!
Make a free website on weebly.
Tell your friends, family.
Ask to put a poster or business cards in the vets, pets shops, local shops ...

Ooo how do I change my username? I tried but couldn't figure out how! Poster's a good idea, I could put on in the Pet shop I used to work in! Not sure about other forums though, dya think it would seem a bit bad to sign up just to promote my channel, they might be like 'go away you self promoter' :/
 
i don't think it's a bad thing to comment on other videos every so often. i see people do this alot. perhaps message a few to see if they want to do a Q+A type video.

i can mention your channel on the rabbit forum aswell if you want? alot have piggies also and a couple have youtube channels aswell :)
 
Of that would be great, thank you! I have been commenting on people's videos I'm already subscribed to, so maybe when I get some replies I could then mention my channel :) I have had quite a few views but only 3 subscribers so worried maybe they aren't very good, I'm going to keep making them and hopefully they'll get better! :P

things will pick up along the way i'm sure. but i'll make sure to mention your channel on any youtube related threads each time they come up on the rabbit forum :)
 
Loved your videos, keep it up. Please feel free to mention it on the forum when you make a new one :)

Aww brill thank you! Just worried about people getting annoyed if I mention it but I guess if I do it on a new post people don't have to read it! I'd been thinking about doing one for ages then just thought why not, nothing to lose if it doesn't take off!
