i have 2 male guinea pigs and they keep trying to mate, should I separate?

If they are both definitely male, please do not separate unless they are lunging, teeth chattering and showing general aggression to each other.

Mating is just a sign of normal dominance behaviour between all sexes of guinea pigs.
