So my guniea pig who is 7
We noticed a small little cut near his eye
NOT on his actual eye ball but near it
It looks a bit scaly and saw
I used some johnsons treatment for general mite stuff ect just to keep it low hes not had any issues with skin stuff like that at all and the rest of his body skin looks fine i think its just that sore bit
Apparently people pointed to ring worm but I'm not sure i dont want to jump to conclusions but if it is I'm concerned because it can be transmissable amongst us ? I'm not sure

From your description is most likely ringworm, which is highly transmittable. Please be aware that we cannot replace a vet visit or make any reliable diagnosis via the internet, nor are we qualified to do so.

Here are our ringworm care tips. Please DO NOT treat on spec, as you can make things easily worse rather then better and inflict unncessary suffering on your guinea pig. It is often much more expensive in the end than going straight to a vet and get appropriate good quality treatment. Johnson's is not working against either mites or fungal, by the way!

There doesn't look to be a wound there and ringworm is most commonly found on the face. I would get to a vet to confirm asap. With it being so close to the eye an oral medication would be best.

I've just had a ringworm outbreak in my group but with prompt treatment and by practicing good hygiene you can avoid it transferring to you
