Can't believe it. Just been syringe feeding Hafthor as he is still not eating much following a mouth injury and saw pale coloured things crawling in his fur. What could this be? Could he have picked something up when he was at the vets? We're going away tomorrow for 3 nights and I don't know what on earth I'm going to do. I have a pet sitter coming but doubt she'll cope with all this :(
 
It could be lice which he could have picked up from the hay but only a vet can diagnose and treat.

They are relatively easy to get rid of with the correct treatment. If you can get him in at the vets today, you can start the treatment asap
 
I can't get him to see the vet until Monday, so I've treated him and his brother with a shop bought spray in the meantime and have deep cleaned their cage. Fingers crossed that will be enough til monday.
