Need some opinion on what is happening to my guinea pig . First picture is just half of his face , 2nd started digging into his skin Found little spec. I would like to treat whatever it is myself , just would like to know the proper way.

Your piggy needs to see a vet. We cannot, nor can you, make a diagnosis of what the problem is, only a vet can, therefore you cannot treat it yourself.

Please take your piggy to a vet for formal diagnosis and treatment. We’d only be speculating. And anything you buy over the counter may make things worse if it’s for the wrong condition or not strong enough to do the job. So please see a vet and let us know how you get on.

It could be a number of things that we would just be guessing at. Needs a vet visit for proper diagnosis and treatment.

Looks like it could be fungal or an injury to the face. The back end looks like either dry skin or specs from mite egg casings. Dry skin could be from fungal or it could be something else altogether. Quicker you get the right treatment the better the outcome.

All the best at the vet. I agree that it could be a fungal infection but only a vet can diagnose and treat
