Hi guys,
I need help deciding what to do! My skinny pig is 4 years old, but I think I might need to be pts.
A few weeks ago I noticed his foot was swelling up a bit (thought maybe Bumblefoot) I had him at the vets On Tuesday and the vet said he had a serious infection and we may have to be pts but gave us 2 week course of antibiotics. He seems to be making some really strange noises and now his other foot is starting to swell. He’s still eating and drinking well but he looks so sad.
Shall I pts or give him a shot.
Please help!

I think you need to ensure you see a knowledgeable vet for the most appropriate course of action. Unfortunately it is so hard for any of us to say what you should do because we are not vets and we have not examined your piggy. If you have a vet that is knowledgeable and you trust them then let them guide you on what is best for your piggy. I'm really sorry that you are in this situation, it's not nice when faced with making this decision

Hi and welcome

I am sorry that you are in this situation. I fully agree with @Lady Kelly 's advice.

But 4 years old is a good age for a skinny because they have a much faster metabolism to hairy piggies and therefore a lower life span. This also means a weaker immune system as they age. :(
