New Born Pup
I bought 2 male guinea pigs from Pets at Home at the end of June and they have got along perfectly until now. They have started jumping on each other and one has managed to pull fur from the other quite aggressively, so I have had to separate them. The problem is, now what they’re separated they both seem very sedate and lonely, so I’m just wondering what I can do? I definitely don’t want to just reintroduce them straight away because they really were attacking each other viciously, so I’m really not sure what to do.
They have a Ferplast 120 cage which is left open at all times with a playpen attached which is 120cm long and 60cm wide. They also get a lot of time each day to run around freely on the floor, so I don’t think that space is an issue. Also they have 2 dry and wet food bowls, 2 water bottles, 2 tunnels and 4 different houses to hide in. They both seem to be eating fine and putting on weight well, just they suddenly really don’t seem to get on.
Can anyone give any suggestions of what I can do to help them get along better?
