so i was taking my guinea pig out normally on my bed. and he was laying down on me and all of a sudden his heart completely stopped i picking him up he was like dead i was kinda tapping him and he was still limp and not moving i got very scared and next thing you know he’s moving.. he looked pretty sick kinda like and before it happened he was running around. i took him to the vet a couple times they allways said he was healthy! by the way he is a male and around .. 5months ! i don’t know what i should do about this

When did you take him to the vet?
Have you taken him since you noticed he seemed limp and sick? A piggy can present fine at the vets one day and then quickly go down hill the next.
it was about a week ago and no i didn’t because he seemed bad when he got up and then 10 minuets later he was fine back to normal, i fed him a carrot before putting him in his cage to make sure nothing was wrong and there was then a little pop corn before i picked him up. and sadly today i found him dead… i’m not sure what caused it. he looked comepletly fine and i feel so bad not doing anything

I’m so sorry you have lost your piggy. Sometimes we just don’t realise how ill they are. Don’t blame yourself. Use this as a lesson to help you in the future. I’ve been a bad piggy mom in the past. I was young and selfish. But now I give my piggies the best life I can. Take care 😍

They are good at hiding illness, it’s not your fault, I had the same thing yesterday with my girl rose, fine when I got up ate breakfast, was active and several hours later she was gone, gently laid to rest, it’s hard but we’re not to know, be kind to yourself hugs x

Sorry for your loss. Guinea pigs hide their illnesses so well. Chance is if you'd taken him to the vet when hed gone back to acting fine they'd probably think you were overreacting anyway and may not have been able to detect anything. Don't blame yourself sometimes all we can do is give them the best life we can for the short time they're with us
