yes and I ordered 3 packs as needs to be 2/maybe 3 tiers and wanted to make sure I had enough, so they've had £70 off me but seem clueless as to when they're coming in!

That's absolutely ridiculous that they are messing you around like that. I would send off a strongly worded letter of complaint to the store manager and send a copy to the head office.

yeah I think I'll call again tomorrow then if we have the same conversation yet again ..

her "nooo they're not here"
me "so have you any idea when they will be?"
her "nooo, don't know"
me "but they said 2 weeks when I ordered"
her "yeah but they're not here"
me "so is there no way of finding out more?"
her "nooo"malletheadmalletheadmalletheadmallethead

then I think I might need to just go in and make a fuss, but it's a four bus round trip with a double buggy/single buggy and walking whining 3 year old, so not something I'm in a hurry to do if it can be avoided!

No, I don't blame you, and why should you have to go out of your way anyway! It really makes no sense to me that yours haven't arrived yet when your order was put in before mine. I would have assumed they were all coming from the same supplier.

I know Jobo is still waiting and think Abinurse is too, and we're all within 50 miles of each other so maybe they distribute from different warehouses dependent on area- either way it's a bit ridiculous, I could've shipped them from China by now!

It's a shame we don't know who the manufacturer is. There are enough people on this forum that would by at least 2 boxes of grids each that we could bulk buy directly from them!

Okay, waiting for my cubes to arrive today... Got the correx flooring stuff but just wondering... do I cut it to fit the size of the cubes, like inside the cubes? but what if theres a little gap that pee pee might escape to? May sound silly and I'm probably being really thick! But I'm a c+c newbieeee :))

hi what are you using as bedding?

if you cut it to fit inside the grids but have extra so the correx comes up the sides. and if you cut the corner so you can tape it to make a corner, the pee shouldnt escape at all. but duct taping up the entire corner might put your mind at ease.

hope that makes some sort of sense i know what I'm trying to say but its not coming out very well mallethead

i gave up with it and just lino'd the whole room.

I was thinking of just using newspaper and lots of snuggly hay. What would you suggest? I could also use fleece and towels but not sure.
I think I get what you mean, I ordered lots of correx incase so I'll give that a go :)

i use just newspapers, i put hay in a hay racck but they pull it all over the floor anyway!

i only asked as most things (vet bed, fleece, newspapers) all absorb the pee anyways so no leaking :)

i bet you have great fun building it i did :) i keep re-arranging them its like grown ups lego :(|)

edit

i tried vet bed but for the size cage it didnt work. I dont fancy fleece so thats why i use newspaper that and the fact its very cheap :)

I tried fleece a few months ago in 2 cages, it didnt work for either. I didnt like all the poopyness, and the boys just kept trying to get under it. Think I'll try newspaper first, like you say its cheap and easy too! I can just change it when needed. I'm quite looking forward to building it yep. I have 4 girlies so have been told on here ideally I need a 5x2 I think? I want to make it as big as I can and use the space to the best. I'm interested in making a little upstairs but that looks quite difficult for someone like me hehe. And the whole idea of me changing to c+c was because the pigs wouldnt go upstairs in the massive 2 story cage I bought. So maybe I'll stick with one level for now. Can always have a change around if I'm feeling adventurous :(|)

i think for 4 you need 6x2 which is 12square feet. or another way 4x3 whichever you prefer :) i'm going to make a 4x4 and a 5x3 for my 2 hopefully sets of 4.

newspaper is much easier to clean out.

good luck and have fun making it. can we have pics please?

i found making hay lofts were easy making ramps and getting piggies to use them wasn't easy at all so gave up :)

Even better then, I bought 2 boxes so I can make it as big as I can fit in the room hehe :) My room is taken over by piggly wigglies x)
Maybe I won't attempt an upstairs just yet, I have a young piggie who I don't think will ever brave stairs so lots of space on one level will be just fine :) Gosh I was so simple in asking about the corners! After reading that last link..its actually simples!:red Will definitely be sure to pop some pics up, if it turns out okay :) Did you post a thread a bit ago with piccies of a whole room with a lino floor just for the piggies? Or am I mixed up? *** that was faaab!

i have 3 boxes lol although 2 are in use :)

yes it was me :) although I'm going to change it again at the weekend :)

i think you worry about things but then you do them and its like oh is that all it takes lol. you will be fine :) any idea when your grids are arriving?

I need a spare room for the piggies! I'd really love something like that though, one day :)
And the grids were delivered twice last week but I was at work so they have been arranged to be delivered today, between 7am and 7pm! So unhelpful delivery services :( Spending my whole day just waiting in boo!
But when they arrive I can get straight on with building! Will hopefully be able to sell the cage they are in now, only been used for a few months, really good cage :) but I love the idea of c+c, love seeing piccies of peoples set ups too x

i wouldnt buy a 1 bedroom place it had to be 2 so the piggies could have one. although to be fair when we moved in we only had 4 now we have 8 lol.

thats good hopefully they wont be much longer. waiting for deliverys isn't fun.

i'm sure you will sell there cage with no problems.

i like C&C as you can make any size you want. and its also handy for maing up pens when you need to move them out of there pen.

feel free to be nosey you may find a few of my various cage designs

I like the seperate bit on that pic, thats a good idea, but no doubt mine will still drag hay everywhere! Bless. I'm still at home with my mum so I can't moan with the room I have. When I move out the pigs will have their own space if I can do it :)

i made a lip of correx so they had to jump it so less hay was bought out. not they have the hay racks and a hay tray still ends up all over the floor though.
