what does bleeding from the vagina mean, she is eating lots still, drinking and runnning around the vet said all were great looking and sounding so what is it? its like 2am and vets arent open and well aarrhh, what if gizmo tried to mate can this be what happens to the first time, and like omg help me its my lilly-pad :(:...

Ok firstly is gizmo neutered? I very much doubt him trying to mate her would make her bleed, is there any hay poking in there or anything sharp she could have caught it on? A Picture would be helpful, close up and clear.

Is there much blood?

Is it dripping out or slowly appearing when you wipe it away?

I dont know if it is a sign of illness, chances are she has just caught herself on something, can you see where its coming from or is it coming from right inside?

Can you get a picture?

Could it be UTI , bladder stones? Hopefully someone more expert will respond soon.

A vet visit is a good idea do your vets have an emergency number you can call?

no and i was lucky to get into today, so i would have to wait to monday and i have school tomorrow, work on the weekend (i need money for pig food, vet bills aka yesterday, hay cages, i *** like to depend on my parents) my dad works so cannot take my pig somewhere, and mum isnt too well omg :(

i took them yesterday to the vets she said that are in fantastic health she checked ears,eyes,mouth/teeth,how they walked, heart, felt them all over, looked at private part (and i meaned looked)

ok deep breaths hun, I know you don't like to depend on your parents but surely this kind of emergency is exactly when you should be begging them for help. Does she have any other symptoms, is she eating, drinking, pooing and weeing normally? Does she seem to be in pain when you pick her up?

I know you dont like to depend on parents, but if they are happy to allow their children to have pets it is their responsibility to provide the animal with vet care when needed if you can't provide it. x

when i say depend i mean money i have plenty save for the pigs, she is always vonlenteein to help look at them (like over for any problems) dad says they *** matter so he is out, and she is eatin great, lots of veg, hay, food and drinkin great, no she hasnt besides her normal sounds, i *** know what to do i cant see a vt till monday and beside the vet said she was like super health and that i was doing a great and wonderful job :(( this is really suckin what if she is in pain but not showin it

well my dad works so cannot take them and my mum has little ones, isnt to happy atm (personal/family reasons) my bf is workin to much and yeah so its not they wont help they cant anyway

unfortunately guinea pigs are very good at hiding pain or illnesses given that they are natural prey animals. There is no way to know whether she is in pain or if something is wrong without seeing a vet and you need to do so as soon as possible. I don't mean to scare you but guinea pigs can go downhill very very quickly if they are poorly. Is there no one else to help take them to the vets - aunts, uncles, friends, cousins etc?

Well i'm sorry to be harsh, but if its something serious, without a vet consultation, she could die before monday gets here, your vets should fit you in on an emergency basis, can you take her on the bus?

I agree with this. At 18, you're a responsible adult and this pig needs veterinary attention ASAP, whether you have work or not. If you had a sick child, you wouldn't make it wait until a convenient time to take it to the hospital would you?

If she's bleeding from her vagina, that's not good. If she's bleeding from her urethra, that's not good either. Don't keep wiping it either, you'll make her sore.

Has she been in with Gizmo? Is Gizmo neutered?

She needs to see a vet ASAP.

welll he is what if the new girl was infact a boy, for the vet said girl but i knew more than her

Is it male or female? If the vet said female, she should be female! If you know more than her, surely you'd know?! Post a picture if you're unsure, whatever is wrong with him/her could be very different depending on gender.

Has he/she been to a vet yet?

all three have, and i was told all are completly perfect, i took them yesterday she checked the private area, ears, eyes, heart felt around the tummy area and down below, she checked the walk of all the pigs and the weight, all was said they are fantastic, could this just be like food that got suck in her from layin in it, for lilly-pad always lays in the food bowl, and if this is it than they will get a new food bowl

the only way she can go to the vets again (she went yesterday) is after school or saturday! i will deff try to get in today trust me i am in tears i didnt sleep at all last night i waited up with her, the annoyin thing is she is still bouncing around eating drinking going to the bathroom normally both pooh and wee and yeah :( why is she acting so calm i am freakin out!

1) You said this started AFTER the vet trip yesterday, so yesterdays vet trip is irrelevant. Has she been to a vet since this started?

2) Yesterday you said that it was blood. Blood doesn't look like food.

3) Is this pig male or female?!

You have a duty of care to this animal, if it's bleeding, it needs to see a vet ASAP...it should have gone yesterday!

Ok I am a bit concerned now, are you sure of the sexes of all 3 of your piggies? the only reason I ask this is obviously could be different causes to the bleeding but also you could end up with pregnant piggies if they are missexed

i took them yesterday late evening, the blood was shown at 2am in the morning i couldnt take them in! its not the uk the vets *** really care! i try calling i did, and the vets werent open when i got up for school, however i left a message sayin i need an appointment asap, so i will get her in after school or see if mum can take her! she is a female, i can see her lady parts okay, the bleeding has stopped but that doesnt change the fact she is still going!, and look ive never had a problem with my guinea pigs before, now when i started ages agothat the male cannot get a female peg * all said desex, i meant to say the vet wanted to desex him before they were housed, however knows its reasky so she checked her sperm (which was wierd) and he was born sterolled, he has duds so he wasnt needed to be desex, she checked yesterday and still sterlolled, she also stated this has never been seen also! so please be nice i am tryin to find out what it could be when i am waiting for her appointment! i am not tryin to get out of one, screw work and school work this is my babys life i know that

i am sure, the vet said lillypad was a girl when i first got her, and gizmo was a boy (i was upset suggested desex, she said okay but risky and thought she would test to see if he was able to anyway, he wasnt he is sterrolled (birth defect awesome but poor man :() and the new one got checked yesterday female so like cmon the vet should know and i thought 2females and 1male.

so what even if he is sterolled the pressure can cause him to bleed if so even if he cant be mated probley i think ill put two female together and get a new male however take him to the lady who owns the pigs to choose his own (he is picky lol)

I am completely lost.

what are the sexes of all three of your guinea pigs?and are the males(if there are males) neutered?

Ok I was just getting a bit confused with your previous posts and thought that the bleeding could be pregnancy problems. Glad you are taking her to get her checked asap though the poor little girl
