I've read the guides here and watched a bunch of videos but I still feel kind of in the dark with this topic

She seems so on edge all the time and I don't know how to help the new pig settle.

She's being accepted fairly well but she gets snapped at if she's ever in their space, they'll just about let her eat with them but won't stay in the same hides or stand too close without teeth chattering and lifting their heads

The woman at the rescue was confident there would be no issues in putting her in the cage after the initial introduction since she's a satin so most the other pigs around her were coming in and out constantly and she's been in various foster homes so she's somewhat adjusted to moving.

Any ideas on how to make her more comfortable?

Have one hide per pig so they can all have seperate houses make sure your cage is big enough keep an eye on her weight and just let her settle in by herself she need to learn where she stands in the hierarchy so this is all natural

Okay :) I'm a little worried about the hierarchy because she's triple the age of the other pigs so she's seen as a threat

Make sure that you have more hideys than piggies and that they can get away from each other. Sprinkle feed instead of using bowls.

If the behaviour is not settling down within two weeks, then you are looking at a failed bonding.

Not all piggies are accepted by a group or settle with a group. Did you date your new arrival or have you introduced at home?
Please speak with the rescue.

The rescue had us introduce them at home, I only have a few hides with multiple entrances, I cut a second entrance into one of their hides today. I'm trying to add in extra tunnels so they still have places to go

What's her personality like if she is bosy then shes a threat but if she is calm and listens to the others when they chatter at her she should be fine

She's pretty laid back but she's clearly uncomfortable submitting to teenage pigs. Whenever she starts to get more confident she chatters at them, on of the teens has submitted but the other is more dominant

Cardboard boxes make good hides, cut a hole at each end. Hope she settles in soon x

Well it's one piggie against the other piggie so it's not like 2 of them will team up on her
