I am going to be visiting some neutered sows next weekend to hopefully reserve one to live with Lincoln.
The sows have not yet been neutered but they will be soon.
I want Lincoln to be able to pick his new buddy. Since they haven't been neutered i can't put him in with them. How can he choose? I'm bringing him along hopefully but how will i know who he likes as he just rumbles at every sow he sees i don't know how to tell who he would like me to get for him.
Any ideas?

I have a feeling if the sows havent been neutered when he goes to see them then anyone will do! :))

I would pick out the one you like and i am sure Lincoln will be fine with the choice :)

I would go for a girlie of similar age and size if I were you - other than that just go with who steals your heart :)

Aww I wish we had a rescue like that near us that neuters sows because I would love a friend for my Ginger who is in a 5ft hutch all alone.:... I have thought of having him neutered but I'm too scared that he might die and I will never forgive myself.:(

i'm the same with Lincoln, just couldn't take the risk no matter how ok the op is. What about a baby boar? would you ever try that? x

No I would be too scared cos I think Ginger would eat one for breakfast, he's not the most placid of boars if you know what I mean.:)) I've seen how quick he strips the apple branches I put in for him, don't think a baby boar would have a chance with him.rolleyes
