Ten weeks ago Henry was castrated.

He has been living with the girls for four weeks, ironically since living with the girls he has been a lot cleaner and although I am worried about the bonding process it is ok so far.

I came home from work on Tuesday to the most hideous smell and examined all three piggies to find that Henry had a small bloody hole next to his man bits. I guessed from what I had read that it was an abcess.

Couldn't get an appointment for the vets till Thursday......

Vet said a it all looked clean and it was good that it had burst. Henry is on Baytril 0.03mls twice a day.

So far this hasn't affected his poo! and he is eating fine.

Is there anything I should be doing?

Thanks
xx

Do you have any probiotic around? (Its not urgent, however it is a good idea to have some around and this can help make sure the antibiotics dont affect his digestive system)

Untill he is better its a good idea to weigh him more regularly than you usually would. :)

I cannot think of anything else, however I'm not very experienced/knowledgeable so hopefully others will come along soon.

thank you for you reply, I shall look for a probiotic and no doubt be back with more questions!
