Unfortunately she wasn't. Sophie is the first guinea pig I've ever had and I got her on a kind of "spur of the moment" so when I got her and Penny I wasn't educated about guinea pig rescues and pet stores. Of course if I ever add more I will be rescuing a little piggy Unfortunately there aren't nearly as many guinea pig rescues here in the States as there are in the UK it seems. I've only found one near me.

Oh I had my idea about rescues until I put a wanted add on the poultry forum and it just so happened that a rescue centre we also registered on that site and that's how I found out there were so many unwanted little creatures out there. She really is a gorgeous piggy and would win a piggy beauty contest!

What a gorgeous piggy. She looks quite like my piggy Buddy who also has one black and one pink front paw and one black and one pink ear.

I have a real thing for tri-colours. But gosh those eyes just get to me! x)
