I thought I would be nice and get the pigs Basil for a change, next time I don't think I'll bother, they all walked away unamused, No one would eat it :(!

What is your pigs view on Basil?

I haven't tried it yet, I picked it up at ASDA the other day but for some reason thought better of it and bought chives instead.

Can't say they were overly impressed with the chives though, they don't go mad about coriander either but absolutely love parsley.

I'm gonna try the basil, you never know! rolleyes

Mine love basil now, but did completely ignore it the first time they got it. Same for mint, but parsley, coriander and dill were loved immediately and still are. Chives they loved the first few times they got them but now they turn their piggie noses up at them :(

How dare they! :))

I can't believe pigs are fussy, I bet they would love it if they were starving.

I bet pigs would love to tell us what they wanted, none of this just giving them stuff!

They would have organic and the best of the best, so they would. Shopping list as long as your arm! rolleyes,

Mine are exactly the same as yours Elle! They do love Basil but not at first. Mint is sooo good for them as it's great for digestion.

Mine first turned their noses up to basil but after a few days they did eat few leaves, but it isnt a favorite they prefer coriander, dill and parsley.

I have tried them on chives and Joey seemed to like them. :)

Mine never touched basil but always absolutely loved parsley and dill and couldn't get enough of those. Coriander was a "grower" (no pun intended!) - wouldn't eat it at first but then liked it.

My three aren't keen either. Pippa had a little nibble then spat it back out :)) The same with mint. They've tried both a couple of times but aren't impressed rolleyes

Parsley, Corriander and Dill on the other hand disappear in milliseconds!

Ok, I tried my 3 on some Basil today for the first time and it went down a treat, I was truly amazed! inbreeding

The mint on the other hand didn't go down as well but it did get eaten! rolleyes

I'll definitely be getting some Basil again :(|)

Any herbs - including basil - are the first thing to go here!.

Do the "getting children to eat healthy green stuff routine" - serve it repeatedly and leave it in the cage for a day, so they get used to the smell and the texture.
