I wondered what herbs other people feed to their guineas.
My girls love parsley and coriander,but will only eat basil if there's nothing else going.
I would like suggestion of what other herbs i could try them with.:{

hi if you go to the top of this food page your a thread called guinea pig shopping list it got all the different foods they can have and cant have

Mine go mad for mint as well and also love dill! Best place to buy fresh herbs are the asian small supermarkets/shops as the bunches are huge compared to the piddly ones from the supermarkets ;)

mine love a little bit of parsley or mint when i put them to bed i always give them a little piece:)

mine adore Dill. They also love parsley and corriander but turn their noses up at mint and corriander.

I tried my girls with mint,but they don't like it.
I think i will try dill next.

If you want to give them mixed dry herbs, the Boredom Breakers Naturals range do a bag of Mixed Herbs especially for guinea pigs. It costs around £2 a bag (I think) and you can get it from most decent pet shops or online. I mix it with their dry food sometimes, they love it!

i tried that and my guinea pigs refused to eat any of it
they're so fussy
i tried them with some dill and some lemon balm
they liked the dill but stuck their noses up at the lemon balm
thanks for the ideas though keep them coming i always like getting my guinea pigs to try new stuff:)

Thyme (not lemon) goes down well with mine as well as dill, mint, parsley & basil - they aren't too keen on corriander :)
