Here again with another nail biting wait to find out what the lab results say

The hooman has been driven to do something called "yoga" this morning. She's now complaining that muscles she didn't know were there are aching from the stretching and relaxing.

Daft hooman, she should have asked us about how to relax and stretch fully.

Here's Penny and Lexi with one option:

Jazz does it this way:

My own personal preference is this as it offers more stretching of the leg muscles:

I'm off now to complain to the GPU as the hooman keeps commenting on the length and curliness of my whiskers. I think this amounts to abuse as she shouldn't be making comments about my appearance.

Oh Mags you are a busy lot, we lioe a your moves, far better than silly old yoga and are wishing Penny, Jazz and Lexi all the very best for Friday 🤞

Whew what a week! Jazz here as sister Mags is busy "supervising" the newbie down the other end.

The hooman dropped us off at the vets Thursday evening as she leaves for work before they open. Head pig Lexi has managed to shrink her lump which is good news. Sister Penny had the surgery. On Friday night she was still a little groggy which didn't wear off until Saturday evening. She has done two areas of pink urine on the bedding but is pretty much back to her normal self.

Oh and apparently I have to give an update on Carol - she came to pick us up from the vets on Friday and had a check up. Her lumps have grown slightly and the vet said she can't have any more chemotherapy. She asked the hooman what Carol's quality of life was like - the hooman being a daft soul responded with "I think Carol should tell you herself". The vet was holding Carol at this point and Carol started stretching and giving everything a really good sniff. So it's something called end-of-life care now. At least Carol is managing to get the hooman to eat one portion of fruit everyday by pretending that she can't eat it without the hooman sharing it :D

Aw Jazz, what a busy wheek you’re all having. Great news on Lexi and Penny. And dear Carol 💕, just make the most of every day and every piece of fruit. You‘re performing a great service to your hooman by making sure she’s eating healthily too. Who is the newbie? Is that Rufus? Hope the newbie is not causing any disruption. Big wheeks to you all from Bertie and Hutch ❤️

What a busy week you’ve had. Good for Carol - showing the vet how good her quality of life is. May she have many more happy days.

Jazz here again. It's been a noisy and pungent week here (can't blame the hoomans this time!). First the bonding area was set up before Ruby, Emmeline and Rufus were popped together in there.

There was instant teeth chattering from them but Ruby was restraining herself to bopping Rufus on the head when he came closer. Things degenerated to the point where Ruby and Emmeline were lunging at each other. The bonding session was stopped when both Ruby and them were teeth chattering quite loudly.

Today the bonding area was set up again before trying Rufus with Carol, Mags and Fifi. It started well with no aggressive behaviours but after he tried to mount Carol for the fourth time in a row, her patience ran out and she lunged at him. Cue teeth chattering all round and Rufus started to show more aggressive signs so bonding stopped as Carol was breathing heavy (don't want to stress her too much).

It's a shame as Rufus is a lovely piggy but we don't have the space to find him a new friend.

After sitting here watching him do zoomies around his cage, followed by mom insisting that I try harder, I've come up with a Plan B. Our next bonding session will involve Carol, Mags, Fife, Lexi, Penny (I've checked and her incision is healing well), Jazz and Rufus. Hopefully having more sow bottoms to sniff will mean he shares his love around and Carol likes Lexi 🤞

Oh Rufus 🤦‍♀️
Sorry to hear you're having a difficult time bonding them. I know you're in touch with Amy. Just give us a shout if you need us! Finger's crossed the little fella will start behaving himself 😂🤞

Carol had a slight blip yesterday, she gave us all a scare with us nearly saying our goodbyes. However, this being Carol of the indomitable spirit, she rallied and by the time I went to bed, was up to eating hay with some gusto.

Today, she is better but still not her normal self. I expect that we will be losing her soon when her body defeats her willpower. Knowing this still doesn't make it easier - she will always be that piglet who enchanted me from the moment I saw her in the glass cage in the pet shop.

To think that we have been blessed with nearly six months of time with her since diagnosis is amazing and entirely down to her ability to breeze through with nothing more important than emptying the garden of nibbles (she has managed some dandelions, grass and endive today).

This little face was looking at me this morning when I came downstairs as if to say "where have you been, I'm hungry":

She managed the leaves of the basil stem she's holding but the stem itself proved too much.

Thank you all for your kind wishes, I too am hoping for many more days of being reminded of my duty to feed Carol tasty tidbits. She is due to turn 4 in a few weeks and I have lots of grass planned for her
