I’ve been super busy with work and family obligations so I haven’t been able to log on since we brought our babies home. But we’ve made them for going on 2 weeks now and we are in love and adjusting well. My son named them “Tiger” and “Mousey”. They are still a little skiddish we take them out a lot and I tote them around in a laundry basket with me from room to room so they can hear my voice and get used to me. I just bought supplies to start fleece bedding and am wicking the fabric now. How long do guinea pigs take to warm up to you? And is $48 a piece expensive for a vet check up?

@Ajonquil86 It all depends on their personalities, some can settle down straight away and it can be months for other.

I'm based in the UK so can't really comment on the cost, it seems a bit expensive if you convert into pounds.

Yeah I thought so too. We are taking our cats in for their yearly check up and thought we would bring the piggies in too. I think I’ll call around to different vets. thanks
