I almost learned that lesson the hard way, but fortunately I was given a clue in time. I had begun letting Redemption out in the bathroom and thought all was well; in the store one day I noticed that my vinyl/rubber slip-on sandals had been decorated by a guinea-pig shoe designer! Little gnaw marks were all along the vamp. As the material is much the same as the insulation to electrical cords, I wised up quickly and started unplugging, removing, and putting up barriers. I really didn't know they would chew all that stuff.
