Hey everyone, Long time since my last update.
How are you all? I hope everyone is okay and safe.
I have been doing well, i have just finished my degree and have gotten a job in the hospital as a new graduate registered nurse last week.
I miss you guys a lot. My last guinea pig (the one in my profile picture) passed away in march this year. I have not had the courage to open this forum or any other guinea pig content since then. It was a tragic time for me as it was my last guinea pig pet and I loved them all so much but I strongly believe that my guinea pigs are my guardian angels now because of all the good things finally coming in my life🩵🤞🏻 I wanna be a part of this forum forever and hopefully in near future I can get some guinea pigs here in Australia.

How wonderful to hear from you!
Congratulations on your degree and your new job!
Sorry to hear of the passing of your piggy.

It would be lovely for you to have piggies again when you can!

Congratulations on your degree.
I am so sorry your last piggy has passed.
Thank you for your update, I often think of you and wonder how you are getting on.

Hello @Ritika. I’m sorry you lost your last piggy.

Congratulations on your degree and job. Hopefully guinea pigs will have a place in your future. ❤️

How lovely to hear from you again @Ritika and congratulations on your degree and new job.
So sorry that you lost your last piggy but as life takes on a new shape there may be piggies again.
Hope you’ll stick around the forum as a friend.

If you are now settling in Australia do you want to think about changing your location or is India still home ?

That's so sweet of you! I think about you guys as well but it was very hard for me to come back here from all the mess in my life and my piggy passing away. Now that I have finished my studies and it has been starting to get better i took the courage to come back here.
I have been doing well lately, I have gotten police protection and dvo against my abusive partner from last I talked here which has worked very well and has given my alot of safety and peace.
I have been started donating to some guinea pig rescues around my area recently and will be buying things from them to help support.
My mum was heartbroken as well, now she rescues and feeds all the street dogs around our place in india and i help her too buy sending her dog food via amazon. Life has been going great lately and I am so thankful.
How are u? I hope your piggies are doing great and are popcorning around with happiness :)

Lovely to hear from you to Merab 😊
I will always be a part of the guinea pig forum and hopefully soon be a piggy mommy again. Can I please ask you how can I donate to this forum? I tried looking for it last night but couldn't find any links.
I will be working in Australia for a bit as I have a massive student loan on my head right now (140k dollars) If i go back to india I wont be able to pay it back as nurses barely make 200 dollars a month over there. Tbh I would love to move back to India and be with my family and all the lovely people there but I feel like I am kind of stuck to pay this student loan.

this was the last pic of my piggy with my mum I took while i visited back india last year and she was 6 years old. Its very difficult to see my piggies pics again but it gives me peace to know we gave them their best lives🩵 I still remember i got my piggies from a pet shop where they were in a little bird cage (around 50 little guinea pig babies together and a big mama piggy) and they were kept in that pet shop as dog food. They were the most spoiled guinea pigs ever they had their own big room as a space full of blankets and little guinea pig homes, eating imported hay and so many organic home grown veggies that my mum grew specifically for them so they dont eat pesticide filled veggies being commonly sold in india.
