Once you have guinea piggies you cannot really avoid hay. From reading about piggy care, I knew there would be a lot of hay involved but what I did not realise is where the hay would get to:-
There is hay in the garage - ok that is where I store it
There is hay in the kitchen - next to the garage
There is hay in the utility - next to the kitchen
There is hay in the garden - on the way to the piggies
There is hay in next doors garden - blown over the fence
There is hay in my hair - possibly my fault for having curly hair
There is hay in my jeans - piggies use turn ups as a hay reserve
There is even hay in my bra sometimes:x

I am not good at housework so the hay remains. OH is going bonkers:)).
Anyone got any hay management tips?

:(|) Welcome to the world of piggies - wait until you start finding poops in the oddest of places. Someone on here found one in her purse rolleyes
I regularly have hay stuck in my hair, poops in my slippers so resort to flip flops in the house now :)
It's what I call an occupational Hazard of being a piggy slave ;)

Yes i do too, my piggies have a hay rack which has a big bit of cardboard behind and beside it but it still manages to fall out of the cage!

Yup theres hay everywhere in my house too! the shed floor is covered in it, but thats where I store my hay bale, but its everywhere! the rabbits have it, the piggies have it and the degus have it! I even find it in my bra too..... goodness knows how it gets there! :{

only hay in the piggy room and the hallway in mine :) but i do find poops in odd places. i do find hay in clean socks that have been in the drawer!

I live in a hay barn, although from a technical point it is considered a house by estate agents... mallethead Hay just gets everywhere within the shortest time possible!

Yep hay all over here too! Even when the pigs lived in the shed there was STILL hay in the house! I keep telling my OH its all over the floor to act as more insulation for the winter ;)

This has made me laugh :))

I get lots of hay in my bra too, lots of scratchy bits :red

Just before my OH comes home I suck up all the stray hay in the house with the hoover and Cleo my dog eats up the stray poos - team work :)
I have lots of hay and poo in my borders where I shake the fleece.

I have just stocked up I have just picked up 10 Bales from the farm, now theres trails of hay everwhere, and plenty in the car. :)

At least I am glad I am not the only one with hay in strange places.
I am sure the hay barn look will be trendy next year....

My parents have just bought me a large sweeping brush which I think might be a hint:)

I go round the cages 'poo picking', once I've got a handful I offer my hand to my kids saying "Do you want a sweet" They fall for it every time :))

:)) hahahaha, this is brilliant! I always collect all the poos every day and put them in the girls veggie dish once they've finished. Many a time i have handed it to my OH telling him it's his dinner! :))

Oh, and back to the thread - yes, i too have hay everywhere! I'm sure the washing machine is going to break any day mallethead
