Junior Guinea Pig
i have recently been given a 2nd hand rabbit hutch as it was no longer needed.. and i had agreed after many desperate pleas from my daughter that she could have a rabbit! ... until!... i came across a guinea pig rescue home local!
so after a very long and persuasive chat with my daughter about how much better guinea pigs are and we can have two (i have a little boy too), so one each (although really they'll both be mine hehe) she caved in reluctantly! pow-pow
So i came on here and put a post about my hutch and what to do etc as want to do it up and make it beautiful for our new arrivals, and with lots of advice i'm now clued up on flooring and fleeces etc!
then.. whilst i'm out hutch accessory shopping my grandmother took my daughter down to our local park to feed the ducks etc and there was a mini easter farm set up (they do it each year), so in they went... and there they were! The rescue homes guinea pigs!
She came home full of it! She didnt stop going on about these 2 tiny ones and ones brown and white and the others a tri colour and she loves them and wants them and bla bla bla lol
SO! I've emailed the lady who runs the rescue place and explained about the 2 my daughter had seen etc (praying they were both the same sex!) and they are both boys! they are one week old at the moment, from two different mothers, born 4 hours apart! brothers from different mothers lol
And! they're ours!
We collect them on sunday 22nd April x)x)x)
So i have sat down tonight and made them a cozy sack to snuggle in big enough for them both and will make another two tomorrow for them!
The hutch is being painted tomorrow ready. once i can find some pet friendly paint!
Their indoor hutch is arriving tomorrow night also so that can be cleaned etc and i'm just so excited!
They're both smooth coats (i've not even seen them yet!) we are going down saturday morning to meet her and see them with their mums, (will get lots of pictures) and then we'll get tickets so we can go whenever we like up til day we collect them :<>:<>
I simply cant wait!
