Hi guys,

just wanted to say hello as I am new to the forum and wanted to introduce Dippy, my guinea pig, he is 5 months old and very sweet, although still a bit shy but he is coming around, today he climbed on my lap for the first time to eat his carrot, absolutley cute! I have built him a C&C cage (4x2 grids) and he is happy in there, he gets lots of floortime as well.

Take care,
Anne

p,s dippy is very lovely :smitten:

Thanks for the warm welcome :).

@sue: I got the correx from a local sign shop, I just sent some e-mails round to a few shops and they replied that they had some old stock left and I could have it for £10, it was 1850mm x 1110mm. I got the grids from B&Q, they have them at the bigger warehouse stores for £22.98 and you get enough grids and connectors for 6 cubes.

Hi Anne,

Welcome to the forum. Dippy is gorgeous. I've just built the same size cage today but no correx as yet I used laminate flooring and fleece blankets until I can get to a sign maker. :)

Look forward to getting to know you. :)

Looks great - where abouts in the w.midlands :D I'm in Nottingham :)

Thank you all :). I live near Dudley. Hehe, Dippy is exploring his cage, today the wicker bridge and his new hay rack have arrived and I just put it in the cage, he seems to like it.

Hi Anne,

Where did you get your grids from? I just realised they are different to my ones! :D

Glad Dippy is having fun, I got my two boars (who are seperated through fighting) some gnawing garlands that clip on the side of the cage and they love them, willow balls are fun too and play food. Having solo pigs you do have to keep them more entertained don't you? :)

Have a nice day!

lol that would be a real long way to piggy nap him :D! Whereabouts in Australia are you? I spent 6 months in Sydney, Blue Mountains in 2002, I had the best time ever!

sorry anne,
but i am in south australia in the adelaide hills. black guinea pigs to me seem more nobler and intelligent(no offense to others), that was how petal was anyways. we have a daughter called anne she is 23 this year and her sister halley will be 22. you take care of dippy, as i is in looooove!! :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:
