Hi, I am new here but you seem like a really helpful group so I am hoping that you may be able to help me out. I have guinea pigs that breed very often but the problem I am having is that sometimes the adults eat some or all of the babies - literally everything, there is nothing left. I have been out this morning and they were eating a baby that was born 3 days ago. Do you have any ideas why they may be doing this and how I can stop them.

Thanks in advance

Sarah

Hi there..

Some of the adults you say,, you really should only leave the mother with the babies.. the adults are eating them through jealousy.
The best way to stop them is to keep them away as I said.

Welcome to the forum.. But can I say you are not allowed to discuss breeding on here or add your web address.
