hi my guinea pigs have been chewing their cage anthing i can do to reduce or ideas on natural activties

What enrichment have you got in their cage?

We advise large loose piles of hay (not using hay racks or hay bags) at this encourages plenty of foraging. This is one is the very best things you can provide for them.

We also recommend not using food bowls and instead scattering their cup of veg and tablespoon of pellets around the cage to again encourage foraging.

Ensuring their cage is big enough.
150x60cm is recommended for two sows
180x60cm is recommended for two boars

Lots of wooden hides or cardboard boxes and tunnels in the cage.

We tuck single bits of fleece over some of our correx edges, and have a couple of spots were we have cardboard covering the grids to help prevent chewing/bar biting.
