Hi everyone, just wanted to share some pictures of my piggies.

What beautiful little sweethearts, Sophie stole my heart with those pretty big eyes :))

I know I got more than I bargained for when I got hollie and peppa, but the babies are so cute I couldn't have parted with them. I have to say miles is just the most gorgeous handsome boy ( the one in the middle) and has just the sweetest laid back nature. The others are very nervous still and are not keen on being handled even though I have made sure I have handled all of them everyday to try and get them used to it.
Am I over doing it do you think? What can I do it stop them running away from me when I try to get them out for a cuddle?

No handling them is good they'll get used to you and be more tame :)

Handling them is a very good idea, although some piggies never get used to being picked up! Treacle is 3 1/2 and she still runs away every time, but she's happy with cuddles!

I know when I got my new ladypig, I would get her out once on her own, and once with her friend Treacle, so she had that comfort of knowing someone else was there to cuddle with if she was nervous.

If you want to make it easier to pick them up, maybe try and pick them up in a towel, or a cozy cup/pigloo etc so you are not directly picking them up by hand. You can entice them in there with veggies. ((Does that make sense?)) It's been recommended by lots of other piggie owners on here, maybe it is worth trying if they always hide from you - pick up the hidey hole!

Hi Glynis, yes I am trying to use the Top picture, but I still keeps telling me the image is too large, think I may have to give it up as a bad job tonight and try again tomorrow when I have worked out how to resize the picture.

Look i'll have a go at following the link and see if i can at least copy it.......
i wont be able to add to your personal page tho, only admin can do that :)

If i can't i'll pop a message into our forum buddy section, whee can ask for help for members that way :)
 
ok it looks like your pigture is too big..... the maximum pixels for avatar is 150 x 150


edit: will pop message for help for you...... i'm sure one of the mods will be able to do something for you tomoro at some stage :)

What a gorgeous piggy family you have - I too ended up with more than I bargained for when I took on Autumn last year, Alvin arrived a few weeks later!

Re your avatar, if you have downloaded pics to photobucket or the like I'm pretty sure there is an option on there to downsize your pictures to the correct avatar size. Glynis has put a thread up asking for help so if you don't manage to sort it yourself I'm sure someone will be along to help out soon.

It is a great idea to handle the babies each day. They will be getting used to you slowly.
