Pick her up and swathe her in an old towel, so she feels secure. Nipping is a sign of anxiety and should hopefuly disappear when she settles down.
For cuddles you can distract her with a plate of food on your lap. Once she's absorbed in munching she might forget about her body and you can start touching and stroking her...
She'll be more relaxed if she's not alone on your lap, but has her friend with her. Talk to her gently all the time, encourage and praise her like you would a little doggie!
