Hiccups And Gagging?

for a couple of days now my guinea pig has had hiccups (once a day) normally after eating then today again after eating he started, what look like he trying to be sick, I know they can't actually be sick, but was wondering if this was normal and because he eats too fast?

He eats extremely fast, even faster now we've got another guinea, even though they're not together yet, and they normally last at most a minute.

No just hiccups he either sits still or gets a drink and they stop

Sounds like bolting things down too fast. perhaps it could help if you chopped up his veg finely and spread it over a wider area, so he cannot eat big pieces as fast and is not in any danger of choking.
