Hey everyone some sites say no and dont use one as it will make them more timid but i feel a animal should have a bedroom so they feel secure so we got a box yesterday and put it on its side and made a big hole and now boo can run in. Am i making him more timid or just giving him space? Please advise.

In my opinion, you are giving him more space. With a retreat you are allowing Naboo to settle in at HIS pace and in his way - after all, he IS a prey animal with the instincts of a prey animal, especially in new surroundings! It might take a little longer, but what you lose now you will gain later as he will trust you sooner.

Here are more tips to on how to settle him:

I think having a hidey house is definitely good. If they hear a scary sound or see something, they want to hide, and should be allowed to do that. They'll get brave enough to come out too. It also gives them somewhere dark and cosy to sleep, which is important.
