Hip problem

My adult male Guinea Pig aged 2 years almost has seemed a bit off for a couple of weeks now, very short tempered with his pal. This evening whilst he was enjoying his floor time he seemed to limp a little at times. When examined, he seemed tender at the hip level and squeeled a little. Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong.

He is always handled carefully but does tend to rough and tumble with his pal a bit.

Really sounds like a vet visit is in order!

Please pop him to the vets. could be anything from a strain to early artheritis so best to get a vet to have a look.
