Hmmmmmmmmmm what to buy the piggies...

for Christmas.

Ideas? :)

Yippeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee - they are spoilt boyz but I don't care - whoop whoop.

(Sometimes when I realise how much I love my little boys I think of all the piggies that no one loves - or are even cruel to - and it makes me cry a bit)

Last year, I spent a fortune but only had four piggies. Somehow throughout the course of this year, we have increased to 15 :x so won't be buying them so much as like you, they are spoiled all year round :(|)
They'll be getting nice things but really have no idea - they don't want for anything tbh mallethead They have multiple of everything :{
Have you put your name down for the Secret Santa to help the piggies in rescues ? I can't wait to find out who my piggies will be so can go shopping and be nice to know some little furries will be getting gifts :))
 
^I did put my name down but didn't hear anything back... maybe they already had too many people. But I'd happily buy a piggie in rescue a gift :)

100's :(|) but can't get into my photobucket account for some reason mallethead Often sit and look through their pics and laugh at how tiny they were and how they've all changed :)) Bless x)
The two sows in my avatar were two of four someone was trying to get rid of in a pet shop that doesn't sell animals, only went in for a bag of hay and came out with four tiny girls.
The black and ginger one is Phoebe (very loud and cheeky) and the ginger and white one is Buffy...beautiful girl with a bit of ridgeback in her, looks like a tiny dinosaur :)

^Awwwwwwwwwwww... I never knew my piggies as babies, I adopted them when they were nearly two. However, the previous owner did give me some pix of them as babies.
 
It's nice to decorate their pens as well. Last year we did a 'Winter Wonderland' scene with white sheepskin base coverings, wooden trixie houses etc. Found tiny Christmas trees and robins for the roof and added fairy lights all around, advent calendars etc. It looked so festive and plan to do similar this year so looking for massive pieces of white vet bed now to do all five pens (42ft in total):) and little stockings rolleyes
You'll see things in shops and buy then see more stuff... :)) Tsk, spoiled xx>>>

I've also started to think about what to get the piggies :)) it's my first year with them so no doubt they will all get very spoilt! I'd love to decorate their cage with a christmas theme too!

GPS - do you have any pics of your christmas set up?! It sounds fab!
 
My girls had an early Xmas with their new C&C cage, a fleece and a couple of cosy cups! Will probably end up getting some treats etc too though, and a pressie for mums piggy and my friends rabbit! :D

Guinea Pig Slave - you by any chance a Buffy and Charmed fan? (Just wondered cos of the names! I had a rabbit called Buffy and a rat called Pheobe!)

Postage to the UK is included in all of my prices. I have four new fleeces which I haven;t had time to add to my website yet.
 
Well I bought them cosies from Audioheart...and gave them to them :red I wanted to see their little faces in them :)) I'm expecting an indoor run to be delivered tomorrow hopefully...so I think they'll just get a nice christmas treats of fresh food and herbs, I've spent more on them than I will on my family :))

I'll get my daughter to sort the Photobucket account out and pop last years theme on here, the pen has changed sooo much since due to having xxxxtra piggies here :x :(|)
Found a place that does white vet bed and is a bit cheaper than my usual supplier and OH has suggested buying baby Christmas socks to hang around rolleyes The pens will look so festive again, really are the focal points in our lounge so I'll just throw the tree in the corner again mallethead ;)

:)) My OH was reading a TV mag when he spotted Buffy the Vampire Slayer so that's how she got her name after we had argued for days :o Phoebe just came into my head but have always liked it :))

Aha, have sorted some pics :)) The set up is sooo different now and is three storeys, seems weird looking back and seeing how it has changed in less than a year rolleyes

The new girls pen although not quite completed as have to add all of the little bits n bobs but have been quite poorly this week and won't take time off from work so all got too much :( Have a few days off now so have promised to add the final touches:

The new pen is just over 6ft in length and replaces my dining suite :( Worth it though :)

Thanks for hunting them out - hope you're feeling a bit better soon and look forward to seeing it with the finishing touches! I am jealous that your OH gets into the spirit of it, mine just thinks i'm mad, but at least he someone manages to curb my obsession! Please tell me those are piggy advent calenders hanging from the side of the cages?! :))

Thanks, have got two fractured ribs, a throat and ear infection but feel a bit better today :) Just working too much :))
Aw, my OH is amazing with the piggies and he has looked after them so well the last week as I couldn't do much for them, really missed my cuddles :(

Oh gosh! How did you do that?! AND you still went into work? You silly billy! You need to rest up and take it easy, and yes that means no guinea pig cage building :)):p awww glad he has been able to help you out with the piggies! Love that you had advent calenders and stockings for them, could we get any worse?! I don't think so! :))

:x :(|) OH said I'd go to work in a wheelchair if I had a broken leg or something, one of these old school people but it was hard as I am a workaholic (unless the piggies need me) Don't do sickies but when my Harley was at the vets for his bladder stone x-rays and surgery, took some time off to nurse him rolleyes ;)
