I'm going on holiday tommorrow for a week with my partner adn my folks. Although I can't wait to have some time off I am missing my piggies already...

They are off to stay at a lovely piggy hotel for the week where they get lots of love and grass time but Merry's an old boy and Suilven's just a baby so I feel a bit sad about leaving tehm.

I guess it's just normal but I wish they could come with us. Camping with Guinea pigs though would be a bit of an undertaking....
 
I have the same problem - you can help but worry...

Not being able to take the pigs is the biggest cloud on any hols of mine!

If you can, take their cage or at least their hideys, toys and bowls etc.
 
Thats a good idea. They usually like a snuggle with something that smells of us so I will put in a towel or snuggle for them.

It's the first time I've had a baby pig so it's hard to leave him with someone else and I worry about Merry's health. He's on lonmg term Metacam now for arthritis and he has the odd other problem too. But he's doing well considering he's nearly six and putting up with a mental and rather randy baby cagemate!
