Holiday Boarding Needed - End of July!

Hi All,

I'm looking for someone to mind my pigs at the end of July, we are going to Norfolk during the summer hols for 2 weeks max. I can provide everything for them and can drop them off and collect but must be in the Liverpool area (can drive a little) Dad can look after the bunnies not a problem but pigs, he isn't keen on rodents rolleyes so if anyone can help let me know. Dad will have some at a push but I think its a big ask for him to have them all. :)

I have in pairings

Sows

Leia, Lyra and Captain Jack
Flora, Fleur, Amber and Kitty
Bupu, Goldmoon and Esme

Boars

Twinkle and Milo
Sunshine and Radley
Jasper and Logan
Pudsey and Eccles

They are in cages in my shed my girls in C&C. :)

They would be noisy in your bedroom. Haha I had two in mine once, absolute nightmare! :(|)

what route would you be taking on the way to norfolk? could you drop them anywhere on your way?

we are in lincoln so way out, which is a shame as if they could have been got here we could of had a pair or two of boys for you if in indoor cages.

Aww I know Niki, you'll have to move...haha

Thanks Becky sadly we wouldn't fit all cages in the car with 2 kids, Peter and I. So they have to be moved before we travel unless we can use C&C. :)
 
Hope you get things sorted, I know friends who have a lot of guineas looked into a live in pet sitter but it was about £400!:{

I'm nowhere near you so cant help, we are just on the way back from our hols and It was tricky for me to arrange boarding for my 1 bunny and 1 guinea!

Ive got an empty hutch at the mo too, we are thinking of another weeks holiday in July so holding on my plans to take another 2 on til after then.

We have companies round here that send someone to visit twice a day to check on pets in your home - would that be an option?
 
Thanks Alison, that is an option but really any that are left Dad will see to them, just don't want him seeing to them all as he works full time. :)

Hope it gets sorted - It is a lot if your Dad works full time, mine are back from their boarding tonight - not meant to be home til tomorrow but I text to say we were back early and they brought them over - so nice to have them back:) they have been totally spoilt!

Id be happy to look after any piggies etc... for anyone local off the forum/work friends but I'm out 8-5.30 Mon-Fri with work but my parents are great for keeping an eye on the furries in the day.

It is hard I find to find local boarding and can be expensive.

Lol about collecting dandies - I'm the same:)p
 
Haha mine were happily munching grass and Dandies today.

Yeah if I can offload the boys when we are away that would be a help would leave Dad with just 3 groups of girls and the buns which isn't too bad. At a push we could take a group with us with C&C. Not sure I could be totally pigless for one/two weeks!

Thankfully we stay with the inlaws so its a cheap holiday. :)
 
my offer still stands if you can work around the dates I'm away.my two will be permanently in their outdoor hutch by then They're outdoor during the day but indoors at night at the mo cos the weathers still a bit chilly at night) so I have a nero 4 empty for any indoor piggies.
 
what are the exact dates you're away? I'd love to say we can help with a couple of boars as we are across the water from you. We're not going on hols cos I'll be 8+ months pregnant by then... i'll have to ask Maxy too and this may not be workable. I'd love to think I can try... Will PM if more news.
 
Thanks Mrs M No worries if not. At the mo its probably around the 25th July. When the kids break up from school the first weekend. :)

thats a shame, how big are your c&c cages when set up?

if you (louise) could get to manchester early on sat 19th july, we could **** squaze a couple in one of the cars if in carriers, as will then be heading to lindsays to pick up our samson....just not sure how you'd get them back lol.
 
Good Luck with finding someone - pet sitting can always be a problem - Luckily I have my mom and only 5piggies - I'm always happy to help anyone in my area - but I think I'm abit further then what you're looking for ;):)p
